This basic course provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to take upp sea kayaking as a safe and fun hobby. During the course you will among others learn forward paddling techniques, manouvering, capsize rescues of yourself and your fellow kayakers, navigation, winds and waves. During the course we will also make trips in the very beautiful Archipelago Sea, giving you an unique opportunity to experience the marine wildlife and environment of this area. The course is based on the International Sea Kayak Guide Association ISKGA Sea Kayaking Fundamental Level One Syllabus.
The course is tailor-made for both persons who have not kayaked before, and for persons who have tried kayaking but who have not attended courses.
During the course we will practice at least the following:
ISKGA Sea kayaking fundamental Level One is predominately developing a novice to be understanding and proficient in the core Technical, Rescue, Expedition and Navigation Skills. The goal is to help the participant become an efficient paddler that is environmentally aware and able to be safe and understand and be able rescue when required.

Pair rescues
Self rescues
Fundamentals of navigation (chart, map and compass)
