ACCOMMODATION AND AREA INFORMATION
During our multi-day expeditions and courses, the most excellent way to spend your time and nights is out in the Finnish Archipelago Sea and with wild camping on islands. For self-guided trips, we also arrange cottage accommodation for one or many nights if you wish so. For your time before and after our activities, the area has a lot to offer in ways of accommodation for every taste and also other sights and activities. Here are some hints about where our guests often choose to sleep, and through the area tourism webpages more accommodation and things to see and experience while in the area.
Turku, the former capital of Finland, is situated by the sea, and offers a nice mixture of culture, food and events. Turku is our main base for sea and archipelago kayaking, and the Turku hotels, Turku airport and Turku railway station are some of the places we transport clients from when going further south into the Archipelago National Park for kayaking adventures.
Naantali is an idyllic small town just 20 minutes drive from Turku or 25 minutes from the Turku airport. There is a lot to see and do in Naantali with surroundings, and you are close to the archipelago in this town.
The Kimitoön Islands has a stunning archipelago area, with its almost 5000 islands, rocks and skerries and living archipelago island villages. Visit Högsåra and the Bengtskär Lighthouse Island, stroll around on the Örö Fortress Island and explore the fantastic skerry maze south of Vänö. The Kasnäs Penisula and Rosala Böle village are both good places to start your kayaking journey with us from. The Kimitoön Islans were chosen the top Finnish travel destination in 2016. The Kimito island is situated only 45 minutes by car (Kasnäs 1h20min) or a little over an hour by bus from Turku.
Nauvo is an island south of Turku, reachable by bus or car (a little over an hour plus one ferry). The so called Archipelago Trail or Ring Road, goes through Nagu.
Cottages and accomodation in the area is best booked from Archipelago Booking of Finland, +358 (0)2 410 6600 http://www.archipelagobooking.fi
