Turku is our main base for sea and archipelago kayaking, and the Turku hotels, Turku airport and Turku railway station are some of the places we transport clients from when going further south into the Archipelago National Park for kayaking adventures.</h4>

<h4>Nauvo is an island south of Turku, reachable by bus or car (a little over an hour plus one ferry). The so called Archipelago Trail or Ring Road, goes through Nagu.&nbsp;</h4>

Aavameri arranges outdoor activities all around the Finnish Archipelago Sea. We have a kayak and SUP rental shed at Satava island, 15 minutes by car or bus from Turku center, but many of our tours and courses start and end at other locations around the Finnish archipelago . Places like Turku, Naantali, Pargas (Parainen), Nagu (Nauvo), Kimitoön (Kemiönsaari) are used as frequent starting points.

For activities open to everyone as bookable through our calendar, we have fixed locations (see the activity description for places and maps).

For activities and equipment rent for private groups, we arrange transportation according to demand, and choose locations according with your wishes, skill level, the weather forecasts and our knowledge about what is ideal for the activity. We arrange pick-up from the Turku airport, Turku and Kupittaa railway stations and all hotels in the Turku and Naantali region.

ALWAYS WEAR A LIFE JACKET!

A life jacket comes with each kayak and SUP-board. However, the life jackets might not fit safely for someone weighing less than 35 kg or more than 110 kg, bring your own life jacket if you are not inside this range!

Check the weather beforehand. Don't paddle beyond your skill level in waves, wind or open water!

Make sure to always adhere to the following safety guidelines:

• Don't paddle alone, this is never as safe as paddling together with someone
• Stay close to the shore and out of the way of boats
  Capsizing more than 50 meters from the shore is a hazard if you do not know how to make deep water rescues even in warmer water temperatures. 
• Wear clothing appropriate to the conditions
• Alcohol or drugs is not allowed before or while paddling
• Do not paddle after dark
• Practice self-rescue and re-boarding before going out. Join a basic kayaking or SUP-boarding course if you have not taken part in such!
